PROBLEM

GAMECO Ltd. needed a better method to protect aircraft spare parts in the warehouse from corrosion. They previously used a rust preventative oil.

APPLICATION

Small aircraft parts (i.e. bearings) were protected by VpCI®-126 zipper closure bags. Furthermore, VpCI®-369 was sprayed onto moving machine parts where lubrication was required. Additionally, some large equipment and parts were wrapped by Cor-Pak® VpCI® Stretch Film for storage of up to one year.

CONCLUSION

Parts protected by VpCI® could be used immediately after unpacking, with no need to remove or degrease oil. VpCI® was user friendly and easy to apply, thus saving time and labor costs. Cortec® products offered safe and economical corrosion protection for storage of GAMECO aircraft spare parts.
