PROBLEM

Horizontal precast concrete at floor levels supports brick infill. Lack of proper flashing details along with highly porous concrete allowed water to enter the matrix and interior.

APPLICATION

MCI®-2020 V/O was applied to all precast concrete elements. MCI®-2005 Gel was used around window lintels.

CONCLUSION

All repairs have proven successful. Testing after application confirmed that MCI®-2020 V/O migrated into the concrete to the depth of embedded reinforcing steel.
