APPLICATION

The client found that three out of eleven control panels close to their rocket launch pad, were showing beginning of corrosion at the wire terminal block connection points. They realized that somehow these three cabinets were the only ones that had no Cortec® inhibitor protection, while the other cabinets with VpCI®-111 emitters were showing no corrosion at all. They also realized at the time of the visit, that the exterior stainless steel cabinets were being attacked by corrosion.

CORTEC SOLUTION

Spraying VpCI®-239 and installing various VpCI®-111 emitters inside the cabinets as in the other cabinets. They also acknowledged the need for the cabinet outside surface protection, and were going to send for evaluation and approval our recommendation for use of VpCI®-386 clear.
