BACKGROUND
The customer manufactures trailer suspension assemblies and transports the suspensions on flatbed trucks nationwide. The manufacturer required a corrosion solution that would be simple to implement with out the use of harmful oil-based products or coatings. They required protection in transit and during storage and needed the packaging to be resuable.
SOLUTION AND APPLICATION
Cortec integrated Solutions developed a CorrCap version of VpCI®-126 with a custom elastic closure and a small Velcro stri`p. The elastic closure allowed the CorrCap to be easily slipped on and off and the Velcro strip ensured a proper seal between the two cylinders attached to the rotor assembly.
CONCLUSION
Automotive parts suppliers worldwide have successfully implemented the CorrCap version of VpCI®-126. The development of custom closures has allowed even more manufacturers and customers to take advantage of the benefits of a dry packaging solution that incorporates reusability, easy application and unparalleled protection.
