PROBLEM
Topper Silicon Steel (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. wanted to protect silicon steel plates for micromotors after the metal had been cut into the desired size. They needed a way to protect their steel plate from corrosion during shipment for approximately three months.
APPLICATION
One piece of VpCI®-146 (8x11in. [20 x 28 cm]) was inserted into the packing box (size 0.5 ft3 [14L]) with the silicon steel plate. By the customer’s request, the plates were covered with oil before packaging.
CONCLUSION
Cortec® products provide effective and environmentally friendly corrosion protection. Also, Cortec® Corporation is ISO 9001 certified. VpCI®-146 offered the three-month corrosion protection needed for Topper Silicon’s product shipment.
