APPLICATION
GE sprayed VpCI®-379 on bare rotors at a 1:5 ratio. VpCI®-379 was sprayed on the bare rotor. For overseas shipments, where rotors were exposed to heavy salt and moisture on the top deck of ocean going vessels, rotors were wrapped with Cor-Pak® EcoWeave® and stretch wrapped for formed fit after the VpCI®-379 dried. Finally, the rotors were placed inside wooden crates.

CONCLUSION
GE Gas Turbine Corporation chose Cortec® products because they provided a more effective and economical corrosion protection system for their spare rotors than what was available from Cortec’s competitors.
