One of the leading companies wanted to preserve a recently refurbished rotor for a maximum period of two years until it was put back into service. The rotor was to be placed in a wooden crate and stored in an indoor warehouse.
After visually inspecting the rotor surface for cleanliness and readiness for applying the preservation procedure, it was sprayed uniformly with VpCI®-368 corrosion protection coating and left to dry. The coated rotor was then wrapped with MilCorr® VpCI® Shrink Film which was shrunk to a taut fit with a portable heat gun. The preserved rotor was then placed in a wooden crate ready for storage.
The customer was satisfied by the straightforward preservation procedure and decided to start offering preservation services to its clients.
