PROBLEM
Severe corrosion of truck drive shafts resulted from shipment of parts from Argentina to Sweden. Thirty six pallets of shafts ready for assembly were received unfit for assembly due to the rusted surfaces.
APPLICATION
The parts were soaked for ten minutes in VpCI®-422. Then the parts were dipped in a seperate tank containing VpCI®-416 at a 10% dilution.
CONCLUSION
The finished result was that corrosion was removed and parts were suitable for assembly, with added temporary rust protection.
