PROBLEM
The customer previously used solvents or alkaline washing agents to protect steel during export shipment.
APPLICATION
Cortec® VpCI®-369 was sprayed on the edges of cut lengths of the coil as it passed along a processing line. VpCI®-369 provided excellent protection for the inner part of the bundle and coil.
CONCLUSION
VpCI®-369 kept the work place cleaner, since it doesn’t drip or stain. This new process reduced the amount of labor needed from the engineering workshops, since VpCI®-369 doesn’t need to be removed before welding or coating. VpCI®-369 doesn’t contain heavy metal compounds. VpCI®- 369 reduced the amount of packaging material required during transport, thus, reducing costs.
