Preserving Damaged Rebar in Dubai Creek Harbor Utility Project

Problem
Epoxy coated rebars were damaged during installation, which led to further damage of the epoxy coating. Cortec® engineers visited the premises to assess the damage and propose an effective solution for preservation.

Application
Upon completion of the assessment, MCI® CorShield® was proposed and approved by the client. MCI® CorShield® was applied to all rebar where the epoxy coating was damaged to ensure long-term preservation.

Conclusion
The coating was successfully used and approved, meeting the requirements of the end user.
