PROBLEM
The customer needed an outdoor inhibitor that was easy to remove and would withstand mechanical damage from rain, ice, snow, sand, etc. Lab and field testing were done to show effectiveness of products.
APPLICATION
VpCI®-368 was diluted 1:3 with mineral spirits to protect heat exchangers, machined castings, and large bearings. The diluted VpCI®-368 was then sprayed onto the machine surface without any removal of cutting oil.
CONCLUSION
VpCI®-368 was easier to remove, provided better outdoor protection, and offered a self healing film.
