PROBLEM

The customer was having problems with shaft corrosion between processing stations.

APPLICATION

Approximately 200 shafts at the time were are placed in a circular wire basket on wheels. VpCI®-379 was then sprayed onto the shafts to protect them from corrosion between processing stations. In addition, some are overlaid with VpCI®-126 Film.

CONCLUSION

The solution was effective, easy to apply, water-based, and a good alternative to oil-based rust preventatives.
