PROBLEM
White Bear Township was experiencing corrosion of a one year-old plow/ salt truck. The township wanted to stop the corrosion and preserve the truck for as long as possible.
APPLICATION
VpCI®-415 was used to pressure wash the truck before application of other products. VpCI®-105 Emitters were placed under the dashboard near electrical components. Electricorr® VpCI®-239 was sprayed on all external electrical contacts. All visible rusty surfaces were hand painted with CorrVerter®. VpCI®-368 D was applied with a pump sprayer on all metal undercarriage surfaces. VpCI®-369 wet film lubricant was sprayed on door hinges and moving parts. VpCI®-396 aggregate resistant coating was applied by roller to the box of the salt truck.
CONCLUSION
The application was considerably less expensive than other solutions; with minimal labor required. The vehicle has a longer, more dependable service life as well as a preserved visual appearance.
