PROBLEM

Customer needed corrosion protection for indoor/outdoor protection of metal components (shafts, bearings, castings for cranes, and derricks). Also needed assistance in selection of application method and equipment.

APPLICATION

Incoming machined parts were cleaned with VpCI®-420 Rust Remover as needed. The parts were then sprayed with VpCI®-368 or VpCI®- 369 diluted 1:3 with mineral spirits.

CONCLUSION

The system offered better protection and more flexible warehousing and packing systems.
