Overview

Alfardan mixed-use tower in the commercial area of Marina District, Lusail City encompasses a plot area of 12,541m². The overall design of the structure portrays the unity of geometric and organic shapes. Opening up to the public is a four-storey podium with curved, organic lines and a glazed façade intended for an automobile showroom which smoothly transitions into a soaring, symmetric, sharp-edged 32 storey tower designed for retail and commercial use.

Application

Cortec’s MCI®-2005 is incorporated in the concrete mix design for the substructures.

Conclusion

Calcium Nitrite based Corrosion Inhibitor was specified originally. For 15000 cu.m of Substructure concrete, Cortec’s MCI®-2005 was chosen not only for its unsurpassed performance in the protection of rebar in concrete, but also because it is an environmentally friendly product, non-toxic, and is bio-based.
